they're back, plus one!!

I have had so much fun watching this young little family grow up! They have come to me for 4 years in a row, and this time, the girls had a baby brother in tow! Although not able to stand by himself yet, when I see Ryan and his sisters, Alyssa and Madison next summer, I'm sure he'll be holding his own with no problem at all! GREAT to see everyone again!

just between friends...

High school senior, Sara and her 4-legged companion, Dusty came to me so we could capture some emotional images of two special friends, before Sara heads off to college. She has been riding and showing Dusty for years, and will surely miss her very special friend. Having horses of my own at that emotional age of 18, I remember it well.

running for chocolate!

So, Jennifer's company, Illinois Bone & Joint, Inc. helped sponsor, along with Hershey's, a fun 5-15k Chocolate Run in Chicago, down along the lakeside on Nov. 1st. We were there to help with all the craziness and of course, to take pictures! IBJI employees gave free 5 minute stretches before and after the race....and, even with 12 beds, there was a continual line of runners waiting! 2008 was the first year for this race, with 1,300 runners. 2009 it jumped to 13,000!! Perfect weather, great people, lots of chocolate and a whole lotta leggin' going on!!

keeping the green...

Passed by this little piece of "serenity" on my way to Crystal Lake, but after passing by, had to turn around to grab a quick picture of it. So peaceful and "fall like", with a beautiful oak tree reflection, right along Country Club Road. Just loved how there was still a bit of stubborn green just hanging on in the front. Not quite ready to succumb to the fall/winter. Made me smile.

fall, family time!

Been so busy photographing fall sessions, and trying to get everyone in before all the leaves were completely gone, I kind of forgot about my poor little blog. So, in paying a bit more attention to this, just had to share one of my favorite young families that came to me again this fall for some fun, casual, outside "together" pictures. Little Karson, just a bit over 2 years old, was mostly curious about everything other than the lense of my camera. Which was just fine....this is how 2 year olds are suppposed to be! Plus, it allowed for some everyday fun moments for all, while Kylie sure had fun drenching her little brother in a downpour of leaves!
